Throughout my life I have always drank any drink that was popular or had the best advertisements. This goes for sport drinks as well. I have always known that one of the sports drinks is bound to be better than the others, but have never bothered to figure out which one. Through research and experimentation I have now figured out which sport drink is the best. Gatorade is the most researched sport drink in the world with its begging starting in Florida were it was originally an experiment on the Florida Gators hence its name Gatorade. A doctor by the name of Robert Cade, who worked at the university decided to test it on the football team. The teams performance rose and the drink became popular from that day on. PowerAde and All-Sport are two other popular sport drinks that were made to compete with Gatorade. Gatorade has sufficient amounts of sodium leading both PowerAde and All-Sport. Gatorade has lower carbohydrates and calories compared to PowerAde and All-Sport.  Although Gatorades carbohydrate content is lower than that of PowerAde and All-Sport, they each contain between 6 and 8 percent of carbohydrates, which is proven to make any athlete run faster.

This experiment is to prove which of these three (PowerAde, Gatorade, All-Sport) sport drinks is the best. Selected athletes in different sports have been chosen to experiment with the three drinks and some athletes will experiment with water as a constant.   Each athlete gets to test one of the three drinks before, during, and after the workout. The results of the test will be put up against the actual ingredients including the amount of electrolytes, amount of carbohydrates, amount of sodium, and the amount of potassium. This will allow us to see which is the best sport drink for an athlete during a workout.
